UPDATE:
We are currently transitioning our hydration reservoirs to Hydrapak® from our previous supplier, TSI. During this rolling change, the reservoir included depends on the pack color selected:
- Black: Ships with TSI reservoir assembly (pictured).
- Sand: Ships with Hydrapak Compact 3L reservoir assembly (3L version of the 2L reservoir the Swift 6.2 has)
Features
- 10 liters of overall storage, 3 liter hydration capacity from included bladder.
- Low-profile lumbar design keeps the weight on your hips (and off your shoulders) and doesn't hit the back of your helmet while riding steep terrain or jumps.
- Industry-largest side pockets for easy one-handed access to ride essentials (phone, food, multi-tool, etc.) without removing the pack.
- Dual-purpose waist cinch secures the pack to your body and compresses pack contents for bounce-free descents.
- 3/4-zip large main compartment with separate area for hydration bladder makes stuffing oversize loads into the bottom of the pack easier.
- Top-zip secondary compartment for tool storage with divider and key clip. Large enough for high capacity MTB pumps and tubes.
- Low, wide, easy-fill hydration reservoir with quick-disconnect and large opening makes for easy cleaning, adding ice, etc.
- Minimalistic lash points on bottom for extra storage if needed.
- Oversized, durable YKK zippers and 210D nylon construction meant to handle all the dirt, sweat, sun and neglect you can throw at it. Made in a top-shelf factory that also makes outdoor gear for first responders.
-
Helmet storage using shoulder straps.
- 1.5" wide waist strap for less pressure on your stomach.
- Soft, protected, tech pocket for fragile/small items.
- Velcro webbing keepers to minimize flappy excess material.
- Covered by our lifetime True North guarantee.
Fit
Our packs typically fit folks between 5'4" and 6'5". Near or below 5'4", particularly if you have a smaller frame, you may run out of adjustment room on the shoulder straps. Users slightly over 6'5" may be ok, depending on other dimensions (chest/torso size, etc.). We are happy to send you a free return label if it doesn't fit.
If you're close to the ends of our adjustment range, we have detailed fit videos available to give you the best shot of our packs fitting you.
Note: We are actively developing smaller strap sizes to accommodate those below 5'4", launching late-2026.

Finally got to try out my Epic 10.3 for the first time today. What a great pack ! I had to make a few adjustments to the waist strap to get it to sit right but once done I hardly knew I had a pack on. The way the weight is balanced at the waist is very nice., I felt no pull on my shoulders. Riding thru technical sections was a breeze, with no weight shift on my back. There is plenty of room to store my essentials for the ride. It was warm today so didn’t have to start with an overshirt on. I hope it will easily fit in the bladder section once the day warms up. I highly recommend this pack to all levels of riders…it will meet your needs and add comfort to your ride.’
I've seen ads for Arctos packs popping up everywhere, and my curiosity was piqued because CamelBak seems to have moved away from developing low-slung packs that truly shift the weight to your hips instead of your shoulders. A riding buddy of mine got the Epic 14.4 about a year ago and loved it so much that he later bought the Swift 6.2. I really liked how both felt, but I wanted more water capacity than the Swift without going as big as the 14.4.
Being in the industry, I emailed Arctos about any partner discounts and didn't hear back at first. A few weeks later, I found their response in my junk folder—they offered a generous discount, so I couldn't pass up the Epic 10.3!
The 10.3 has a bit less volume than my previous CamelBak, so I had to pare down what I carry. That turned out to be a good thing—it forced me to assess what I actually need on the trail. I ride deep into no-reception zones, so I prioritize being prepared for bike fixes or emergencies.
So far, I've been really impressed with the fit and weight distribution when fully loaded (3L water + tools + food). It stays comfortable and stable. The pocket layouts work well overall, though I'm still retraining myself on where everything goes—that'll come with time. Build quality feels excellent and super robust.
My one quibble: there's no magnetic holder for the drinking tube. The fixed position on the shoulder strap means I either have to unclip it to drink or awkwardly bend down while riding. (Arctos does sell a separate tube magnet accessory, which might solve this.)
Overall, if you're looking for a pack that prioritizes hip-loaded comfort, stability on descents, and durability for serious trail days, the Epic 10.3 is a winner. Highly recommend!
Love it. Did a 25 mile ride with it, fit everything I needed, plenty of water, stayed put, didn’t get too hot, zero complaints.
The pack holds everything and stays in place as promised.
Thanks for the well thought out design!
Honestly, this is a baller pack. I've only worn it on 1 ride so far as the weather here in Utah has been a bit fickle. Good fit even though I'm in the Clydesdale category of riders. My only sad is that I ordered one that isn't large enough for me i.e. capacity. Idon't know what I was thinking. The 10.3 is the perfect water vessel size but man... the 14 would have just been a better pack for me and my gear. Such is in this world. We make mistakes and we move on. At least I'll be moving on in style. Truly sweet bag!!
